Ketron® PEEK 1000 is a virgin, unfilled polyetheretherketone (PEEK) that provides chemical and hydrolysis resistance comparable to PPS while operating at higher temperatures. It is capable of continuous use up to 480°F (250°C) and remains effective in hot water or steam, exhibiting no permanent loss in physical properties. This high-strength material serves as an alternative to fluoropolymers in hostile environments and features a UL 94 V-O flammability rating, along with very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame. Ketron® PEEK 1000 is available in a newly introduced black variant, which is particularly suited for instrument components where aesthetics are crucial, as well as for seal components that require ductility and inertness. The material is readily stocked across 19 distribution locations in the USA, Singapore, and Taiwan.
