Oil-filled nylon, characterized by its green color, is a specially formulated liquid lubricant encapsulated during manufacture that ensures true lubrication at the bearing surface, making it suitable for applications where maintenance lubrication is challenging or impractical. This material effectively limits moisture adsorption, making it ideal for submerged or critical tolerance applications. Additionally, Nyloil® green oil-filled nylon is also available in a natural oil version for food contact applications, as the absence of pigment in the natural color allows it to conform with FDA regulations 21 CFR, section 177.15, and USDA 3A sanitary standards 20-17 for direct contact with food.
