Oil-filled nylon (green color) features a special formulation of liquid lubricant encapsulated during manufacture to provide true lubrication at the bearing surface, making it suitable for applications where maintenance lubrication is challenging or impossible. This material limits moisture adsorption, which renders it ideal for submerged or critical tolerance applications. Additionally, Nyloil® green oil-filled nylon is available in a natural oil variant for food contact applications. The absence of pigment in the natural color allows this grade to conform with FDA regulations 21 CFR, sec. 177.15 and USDA 3A sanitary standards 20-17, ensuring compliance for direct contact with food.
