The Oil-filled nylon, characterized by its green color, features a special formulation of liquid lubricant encapsulated during manufacture, providing true lubrication at the bearing surface. This material is particularly well-suited for applications where maintenance lubrication is difficult or impossible, and it effectively limits moisture adsorption, making it ideal for submerged or critical tolerance applications. Additionally, the NYLOIL® green oil-filled nylon variant is available in a natural oil formulation for food contact applications. The absence of pigment in the natural color version allows it to comply with FDA regulations 21 CFR, sec. 177.15 and USDA 3A sanitary standards 20-17, enabling direct contact with food.
