Oil-filled nylon (green color) features a special formulation of liquid lubricant that is encapsulated during manufacture, providing true lubrication at the bearing surface, making it suitable for applications where maintenance lubrication is difficult or impossible. This material limits moisture adsorption, which makes it an ideal choice for submerged or critical tolerance applications. It is also available in Nyloil® green oil-filled nylon and in a natural-oil formulation for food contact applications. The absence of pigment (natural color) allows this grade to conform with FDA regulations 21 CFR, sec. 177.15 and USDA 3A sanitary standards 20-17 for direct contact with food.
