Product Details
Durapol® CDM ESD 68910N is a composite material designed with a glass mat reinforcement and a dissipative, high-temperature, high-corrosion-resistant resin system. This new generation material addresses the need for machining thin walls and provides a solution to mitigate electrostatic discharge, which can damage electronic components and circuits. The CDM ESD 68910N ensures the slow movement of charges out of circuits, maintaining production quality. It guarantees dissipative characteristics and exhibits enhanced mechanical and resistance properties compared to standard composite materials. The random glass mat substrate minimizes delamination during machining or pallet use, while its relatively low thermal conductivity enables quick pallet turnaround, thus reducing the need for cooling stations. Additionally, CDM materials can effectively replace metallic solder frames, offering significant advantages, and are formulated for improved chemical resistance. Regular cleaning is recommended to maintain material stability, and due to its high fiberglass content, machining should be conducted using carbide or diamond tooling to achieve precise tolerances. Key applications for CDM ESD 68910N include full process solder wave, SMT and selective soldering processes, component insertion, silk screen printing of solder paste in SMT, SMT placement reflow soldering, component protection, and testing of PCBs.
