F6 features a unique split, semi-rigid braided construction, making it ideal for situations where ease of installation is crucial. The lateral split enables the tube to open up and accommodate a wide variety of bundling requirements, while the semi-rigid braid configuration closes around the installation without additional fasteners such as Velcro or tape. Composed of 10 mil PET braid, F6 is lightweight, quiet, and flexible, with a 25% edge overlap at nominal diameter for coverage around inline plugs, connectors, and splices. It can bend to a tight radius without distorting or splitting open and, unlike full rigid tubing, it maintains the flexibility of harnesses. Furthermore, F6 allows for the addition or removal of wires without disassembly, facilitating quick and economical coverage of long lengths of wire or cables.
