K-Flex Duct™ liner gray S2S 1 x 48 x 50' is an environmentally friendly, CFC and HCFC-free, closed-cell, flexible elastomeric thermal and acoustical insulation designed to retard heat gain and prevent condensation or frost formation on cold equipment or ducts, while also effectively reducing heat loss on hot equipment or ducts. This liner can serve as both duct and air handling equipment liner, with a thickness calculated to control condensation on cold surfaces. Its unique closed-cell structure acts as a low transmittance vapor retarder, requiring no additional protection for most applications. The product complies with various specifications including ASTM C534 Type 2 (sheet), Grade 1, ASTM D1056-00-2C1, and ASTM C423/E795 with an NRC of 0.50 at 1 thickness. It meets New York City MEA 186-86-M Vol. IV and USDA requirements. Flammability ratings include UL 94-5V (recognition no. E300774) and ASTM E 84 foam core ratings of 25/50 at 2 inches and below; PSA: 0/10. Additionally, it meets NFPA 90A Sect. 2.3.3 requirements for supplementary materials in air distribution systems up to 1 inch thickness and complies with UL 181 Sections 11.0 and 16.0 (mold growth/air erosion) as well as ASTM C411 (test method for hot surface performance of high temperature thermal insulation).
