Kimble® Kimax® UltraWare with fritted glass support consists of 90 mm vacuum microfiltration assemblies designed for large sample volumes or samples with high particulate loads that may clog a 47 mm diameter filter. The assembly with fritted glass support is suitable for general filtration, offering filtration rates up to four times faster than 47 mm filters. The funnel has a graduated range from 300 to 1000 ml in 50 ml increments, with a maximum funnel capacity of 1100 ml. The prefilter size measures 70 mm in diameter, providing an approximate filter area of 38.5 cm². Connection to a 1 liter filtration flask (available as an accessory) is achieved with a #8 silicone stopper. This unit includes a 40-60 micron porosity fritted glass support base, a 1 liter graduated funnel, an anodized aluminum clamp, and a #8 silicone stopper crafted from 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass, meeting USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A standards.
