The kit includes shorter flutes and an overall length that provide superior rigidity to minimize deflection when using heavy feed rates, making it ideal for portable drilling. It has a bright finish for sizes up to 1/2" and a black oxide finish for sizes over 1/2". This drill kit is suitable for drilling in alloy steel, carbon steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials. Additionally, the package includes a plug chamfer hand tap with 3 - 5 incomplete threads before cutting, which is used in all types of hand and machine tool operations for ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The taps feature a ground thread for a better surface finish and tighter tolerances, making them best for tapping through holes. The set contains drill sizes of #44, #39, #36, #29, #25, #7, F, 5/16, U, and 27/64, alongside tap sizes of #4-40 NC, #5-40 NC, #6-32 NC, #8-32 NC, #10-24 NC, #1/4-20 NC, 5/16-18 NC, 3/8-16 NC, 7/16-14 NC, and 1/2-13 NC.
