The dry ice maker produces a solid 454g (16oz) block of dry ice in one to two minutes, with each 50lb. cylinder of liquid CO2 featuring a dip tube capable of making 8 or 9 blocks of dry ice measuring 9.2 x 10.4cm (3 x 4"). The kit includes a polyethylene ice chamber secured by a metal clamping mechanism, along with a porous polyethylene diffusion plate that vents excess gas. It features a built-in gas pressure gauge and a relief valve for safety. The epoxy-coated steel frame is equipped with four non-skid rubber feet to prevent sliding during operation. Additionally, the kit comes with a 1.8m (6ft) nickel plated copper connecting tube that has standard CGA 320 (0.830"-14) thread couplings for easy attachment to an LCO2 cylinder. The overall dimensions of the unit are 37 x 14 x 15cm (14 x 5 x 6"), and it has a shipping weight of 3.9kg (8.5lbs).
