Safety-vented wash bottles are designed to ensure compliance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) and OSHA's HazCom 2012 requirements regarding workplace labels. Each bottle is pre-printed with essential information including the chemical name and formula, GHS pictogram, signal word, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Section 704 four-color diamond, health hazards, Chemical Abstract System (CAS) number, and suggested protective clothing and equipment. The unique valve is engineered to prevent pressure build-up, which eliminates potentially dangerous chemical drips, and allows dispensing in both upright and inverted positions. The bottles feature a wide mouth measuring 53mm (2") for easy refilling and are made from translucent LDPE, with sodium hypochlorite being stored in a white LDPE for light protection between 230 and 450nm, while toluene is stored in a red LDPE bottle. Color-coded polypropylene closures facilitate quick and easy identification. The kit includes a total of four bottles per bag in a 500ml size (4/bag) and a 1000ml size (2/bag), with the assortment comprising one each of acetone, isopropanol, bleach, and ethanol.
