For all of your magnetic separation experiments, these powerful racks sequester magnetic beads so that affinity ligands (antibodies, streptavidin, or proprietary reagents for coupling nucleic acids) or rinse solutions can be added or decanted in assays. The kit includes patent-pending racks with independent sleeves on 50ml and 15/5ml models that facilitate liquid addition and removal with minimal accidental fluid loss. Each model features powerful magnets that quickly secure beads and a spring plunger on tube sleeves of 1.5 to 50ml models, allowing beads to be sequestered at various heights along the tube wall. Users can simply turn the tube for efficient bead mixing. The 96-well PCR plate model contains 24 magnets that snugly hold the plate while attracting beads to the tube walls, while the flat bottom microplate model has magnets covering the entire footprint to accommodate all standard micro-plates, including 6, 12, 24, 48, 96 wells, etc. All racks conform to ANSI standards for microplates, and the clear acrylic design provides an unobstructed view of tube contents.
