Lab-Aire® II electric drying racks are designed to accelerate the drying of labware with warm, circulating air while occupying minimal benchtop space. The 230V models are CE marked and provide 400 watts of drying power that gently circulates heated air around items to reduce drying time. The efficiency is further enhanced by a replaceable foam filter that ensures the warmed air remains dust-free. Users can select from three temperature settings—high, medium, and low—using the heat selector knob. A power button indicates when the unit is in use, and safety features include an 8-amp @ 120V (4-amp @ 230V) circuit breaker and an independent thermo-fuse to prevent overheating. The racks are freestanding with sturdy bases that offer excellent balance, allowing placement on any flat surface. Constructed from rugged ABS plastic, the units are resistant to corrosion and easy to clean. Drip/storage trays feature scalloped wells for holding long, thin labware, while small (3"), medium (4"), and large (5") pegs can be moved to accommodate various labware types, including beakers, flasks, bottles, test tubes, and cylinders. Airflow can be redirected by inserting plugs into unused peg holes, and removable polypropylene baskets provide storage for small labware and additional pegs. Users can choose a single-sided model to maximize space efficiency against a wall or opt for a double-sided model to double the capacity with a minimal increase in footprint. Additional accessories and various sizes and configurations are available to create a custom drying system tailored to specific needs.
