The smoothing trowel is specifically designed for use with 18, 24, and 36" Buchner funnels, allowing users to apply slight downward pressure while sweeping the trowel along the surface of the precipitate to efficiently smooth fissures during the filtration process. Its large surface area smooths fissures more quickly than traditional narrow spatulas, while beveled edges on both sides permit bi-directional smoothing. The curved ends are designed to match Buchner funnel sidewalls, facilitating easy access to the entire cake surface. Constructed from FDA-grade high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the trowel complies with industry standards and offers maximum chemical resistance. The welded construction features no hollow cavities, ensuring hygienic use and easy cleaning. Additionally, it is compatible with industrial dishwasher temperatures and cleaners.
