These autoclavable and disposable plastic pestles are designed for efficiently re-suspending bacterial cells, nucleic acid or protein precipitates, and pellets of various materials. The kit includes pestles that come with 1.5ml microcentrifuge tubes, specifically shaped for optimal grinding. Each pestle measures 8.5cm (3 inches) in length. Additionally, pestles are available for purchase separately, without the accompanying tubes.
