These autoclavable and disposable plastic pestles are designed for effectively re-suspending bacterial cells, precipitates of nucleic acids or proteins, and pellets of other materials. The kit includes pestles supplied with 1.5ml microcentrifuge tubes that match their shape for optimal grinding. Each pestle measures 8.5 cm (3 inches) in length. Additionally, pestles are available for purchase separately without the accompanying tubes.
