Insul-Sheet® insulation is an environmentally friendly, CFC-free, flexible elastomeric thermal insulation designed to retard heat gain and prevent condensation or frost formation on cold equipment, tanks, vessels, ducts, or large O.D. pipes. It is also effective in retarding heat loss when applied to hot equipment, ducts, or large pipes and can be used as duct covering. The thickness is engineered to control condensation on cold surfaces, and for optimum performance in outdoor applications, it is recommended to use a protective coating, cladding, or jacketing. The insulation complies with various specifications, including ASTM C 534 Type 2 (sheet), Grade 1; ASTM D 1056-00-2C1; New York City MEA 186-86-M Vol. IV; USDA requirements; and achieves an STC rating of 17 per ASTM E 90. It features a UL 94-5V flammability classification (Recognition No. E300774) and has been tested according to ASTM E 84 for a 2" thickness with a 25/50 rating per UL 723 and NFPA 255, while also complying with CAN/ULC S102-03 and meeting NFPA No. 101 Class A rating. The product fulfills the requirements of NFPA 90A/B Sect. 2.3.3 for supplementary materials for air distribution systems, UL 181 Sections 11.0 and 16.0 (mold growth/air erosion), and ASTM C 411 (method for hot surface performance of high temperature thermal insulation). Additionally, the R8 sheet meets R-value requirements of the International Energy Conservation Code for outdoor ductwork. Insul-Sheet® is sold in a package quantity of 1, priced each.
