Insul-Lock® self seal insulation measures 6 feet in length, with a nominal inner diameter of 2 inches and a wall thickness of 1/2 inch. This superior closed cell insulation is engineered to retard heat flow and prevent condensation when installed correctly. It features pre-slit seams with a factory-applied specially formulated bonding adhesive on both seam surfaces, complemented by built-in release liners for easy installation. This insulation is suitable for refrigerant lines, cold water plumbing, roof drains, and chilled water systems. Crafted from a UV resistant elastomeric blend, it requires no additional protective coating for moderate UV exposure, while severe UV exposure or optimum performance applications necessitate the use of 374 protective coating or approved jacketing or cladding. The product complies with ASTM C 534 Type 1 (tubing), grade 1, ASTM D 1056-00-2C1, New York City MEA 186-86-M Vol. IV, and USDA requirements. It also has a UL 94-5V flammability classification (recognition no. E300774), adheres to ASTM E 84 1-1/2" 25/50-tested according to UL 723 and NFPA 255, complies with CAN/ULC S102-03, and meets FMRC approval guide chapter 14 requirements for pipe insulation. Additionally, it fulfills NFPA 90A section 2.3.3 criteria for supplementary materials for air distribution systems and ASTM C 411 requirements for hot surface performance of high-temperature thermal insulation.
