Insul-Lock® Seam-Seal pipe insulation is a superior closed cell insulation designed to effectively retard heat flow and prevent condensation when properly installed. The product features pre-slit construction with factory-applied bonding adhesive on both seam surfaces, which is complemented by built-in release liners for easy installation. It is ideal for use in applications such as refrigerant lines, cold water plumbing, roof drains, and chilled water systems. Made from a UV-resistant elastomeric blend, this insulation requires no additional protective coatings for moderate UV exposure, although a protective coating or approved jacketing is recommended for severe UV exposure, particularly in rooftop applications. The insulation complies with specifications including ASTM C 534 Type 1 (tubing), Grade 1, ASTM D 1056-00-2C1, New York City MEA 186-86-M Vol. IV, USDA requirements, UL 94-5V flammability classification (recognition no. E300774), ASTM E 84 1-1/2" 25/50, CAN/ULC S102-03, FMRC approval guide chapter 14 for pipe insulation, NFPA 90A sect. 2.3.3, and ASTM C 411 for hot surface performance of high temperature thermal insulation.
