This tape kit includes six different colors that align with widely recognized hazard color codes to effectively convey safety information through labels. Each roll measures 1.9 cm (0.75 inches) in width and 36.4 m (40 yards) in length, featuring a 7.6 cm (3 inches) inner core. The tape is designed for compatibility with Write-On™ Multi-Roll Label Tape Dispensers (F13472-0000 and F13473-0000). It adheres securely to any clean surface, including Teflon® fluoropolymer resin-coated materials, and removes easily without leaving a sticky residue. The tape can be marked with a pencil, ball-point pen, or solvent ink marker, ensuring legibility even under extreme laboratory conditions. Constructed from colored paper with a rubber resin adhesive, it is resistant to moisture and most solvents. The tape can withstand a maximum temperature of 157°C (315°F) for 30 minutes or 80°C (176°F) for 24 hours, and it remains functional down to -80°C (-112°F). It is capable of withstanding a steam autoclaving cycle at 121°C (250°F) and gamma irradiation ranging from 13.0 to 45.0 kGy. The colors serve specific purposes: yellow for chemical reactivity, green for safety labels, blue for health hazards, red for flammability, orange for biohazards, and white for describing particular hazards.
