The Poly-Hand Pump is designed to thread directly onto a standard drum bung or carboy, constructed entirely of rugged polyethylene, which is inert to strong acids, alkalies, and many solvents. It operates by delivering fluid through positive pressure on the downstroke of the piston without pressurizing the vessel, and features an ergonomic 'T' handle that fits comfortably in a gloved hand. The pump efficiently delivers against a head of water up to 3.65 m (12 ft) and can empty a drum or carboy to within 3 mm of the bottom. It is available in sizes to fit 114 L and 220 L (30/50 gal) plastic or steel drums and 20 L (5 gal) carboys (F10795-0000).
