Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are designed and engineered for use in HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general purpose installations where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are ideal. These premium efficiency ODP motors are available in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125 and feature IP23 degree of protection along with a double vacuum pressure impregnation process for winding insulation. The motors operate at speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM with voltage options of 208-230/460 volt at 60 Hz and 190/380 volt at 50 Hz. The open drip proof enclosure is constructed with a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP. Key features include 1.15 service factor (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications), Class F insulation, and a rigid base (56C-face with removable base) ensuring premium efficiency. These motors are designed for inverter duty with a 10:1 constant torque and 20:1 variable torque at 1.0 SF, and the inverter grade magnet wire meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. Additional specifications include pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frame and larger to accept Inpro current diverter rings for easy installation, an exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation insulation system, and double drilled feet for mounting flexibility on 143T-404T, with 254T and larger suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
