Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are engineered for HVAC and refrigeration applications, air compressors, and general purpose installations where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are preferred. These premium efficiency ODP motors are available in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125 HP and have operational speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM. They operate at voltages of 208-230/460 volts at 60 Hz and 190/380 volts at 50 Hz. The construction includes a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP units and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP units, all equipped with IP23 protection. These motors have a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications), utilize Class F insulation, and feature a rigid base with a removable base for the 56C-face. In terms of thermal performance, they provide Class B temperature rise and are rated for inverter duty with a 10:1 constant torque/20:1 variable torque (1.0 SF). The inverter grade magnet wire meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards, and the double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system offers enhanced durability. Additionally, the motors feature pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frames and above for easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings, double drilled feet for mounting flexibility (143T-404T), and models 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
