Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are specifically engineered for use in HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general purpose applications where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are preferred. These premium efficiency ODP motors are available in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125 HP and operate at speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM. They are designed to function within a voltage range of 208-230/460 Volt, 60 Hz and 190/380 Volt, 50 Hz, featuring an open drip proof enclosure and providing IP23 degree of protection. The motors have a rolled steel frame for models ranging from 1/2 to 50 HP, while those from 60 to 100 HP utilize a cast iron frame. They come equipped with a 1.15 service factor (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications), Class F insulation, and a rigid base (56C-face with removable base), ensuring premium efficiency and Class B temperature rise. Notably, these motors are inverter duty rated with a 10:1 current torque and 20:1 voltage torque (1.0 SF), and feature inverter grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. They are designed with pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frames and larger to accept Inpro current diverter rings for simple installation. Additionally, the exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system enhances durability, while double drilled feet on models 143T-404T allow for mounting flexibility, and 254T and larger models support F1 to F2 conversion.
