Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are meticulously designed for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general purpose installations requiring cooler-running, non-enclosed motors. These premium efficiency ODP motors are available in horsepower ratings ranging from 1/2 to 125 and feature a protection rating of IP23, along with a double vacuum pressure impregnation process for enhanced winding insulation. The motors operate at speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM, and are compatible with voltages of 208-230/460 Volt (60 Hz) and 190/380 Volt (50 Hz). The motor construction includes a rolled steel frame for ratings of 1/2-50 HP and a cast iron frame for ratings of 60-100 HP. They are designed with a rigid base (56C-face with removable base), feature a 1.15 service factor (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications), and incorporate Class F insulation with a Class B temperature rise. Suitable for inverter duty with 10:1 continuous torque and 20:1 voltage tolerance, these motors utilize inverter grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. They come with pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on the 143T frame and up for easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings, while double drilled feet provide mounting flexibility for frames 143T-404T. Additionally, frames 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
