Worldwide Electric's Open Drip Proof (ODP) motors are engineered for use in HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose installations that benefit from cooler-running, non-enclosed motors. These premium efficiency ODP motors are available in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125, with operating speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM. They support voltage options of 208-230/460 Volt at 60 Hz and 190/380 Volt at 50 Hz, and are designed with an ODP enclosure, featuring a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP. The motors provide IP23 protection, a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 for 50 Hz applications), and are constructed with Class F insulation. They also have a rigid base (56C-face with removable base) and a Class B temperature rise. Designed for inverter duty, the motors are rated for 10:1 continuous torque and 20:1 variable torque (1.0 SF), with inverter grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31. Additionally, the drive endbells are pre-drilled and tapped on 143T frames and up for easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings, and feature an exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system for enhanced durability. The motors also include double-drilled feet for mounting flexibility and sizes 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
