Worldwide Electric's Open Drip Proof (ODP) motors are specifically designed for applications in HVAC, refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose installations where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are preferred. Available in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125, these premium efficiency motors boast a range of technical specifications including speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM, and voltage options of 208-230/460 volts at 60 Hz or 190/380 volts at 50 Hz. The motors feature an open drip proof enclosure, with a rolled steel frame for models 1/2 to 50 HP and a cast iron frame for 60 to 100 HP, and an IP23 degree of protection. They deliver a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 for 50 Hz applications) and utilize Class F insulation with a Class B temperature rise. Designed for inverter duty with a 10:1 current transformer and 20:1 voltage transformer rating at 1.0 SF, they incorporate inverter-grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. Additional attributes include pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frame and larger for simple installation of Inpro current diverter rings, an exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system, double drilled feet for mounting flexibility on 143T-404T models, and compatibility for F1 to F2 conversion on 254T and larger motors.
