Worldwide Electric's Open Drip Proof (ODP) motors are specifically engineered for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose installations that benefit from cooler-running, non-enclosed motors. These premium efficiency ODP motors range in horsepower from 1/2 to 125 and operate at 3600, 1800, or 1200 RPM. They are designed for use with 208-230/460 volt, 60 Hz and 190/380 volt, 50 Hz power supplies. The motors feature an open drip proof enclosure with IP23 protection, a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP models, and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP models. Key specifications include a 1.15 service factor (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications), Class F insulation, rigid base (56C-face with removable base), Class B temperature rise, inverter duty ratings of 10:1 CT / 20:1 VT (1.0 SF), and inverter grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 part 31 standards. The exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system enhances durability, while pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frames and larger facilitate simple and easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings. Additionally, double drilled feet allow for mounting flexibility on models 143T-404T, and motors sized 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
