Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are specifically designed for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose installations where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are preferred. These premium efficiency ODP motors are available in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125 HP and can operate at speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM. They support voltages of 208-230/460 volts at 60 Hz and 190/380 volts at 50 Hz, and feature an open drip proof enclosure. The motors come with either a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP or a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP, with an IP23 protection rating and a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications). The Class F insulation ensures durability, while the rigid base (56C-face with removable base) and Class B temperature rise add to their reliability. They are designed for inverter duty with a 10:1 CT / 20:1 VT (1.0 SF) specification, and the inverter grade magnet wire meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. The motors feature pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frames and larger for the installation of Inpro current diverter rings without the need for machining, and utilize an exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system. Additionally, they include double drilled feet for mounting flexibility (143T-404T), and the 254T and larger models are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
