Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are specifically designed for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose applications where non-enclosed motors are preferred for cooler operation. These premium efficiency ODP motors range from 1/2 to 125 horsepower, operating at 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM, and are available in voltage options of 208-230/460 Volt at 60 Hz and 190/380 Volt at 50 Hz. They feature an open drip proof enclosure, with rolled steel frames for 1/2-50 HP and cast iron frames for 60-100 HP, offering IP23 degree of protection and a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications). The motors are built with Class F insulation and have a rigid base (56C-face with removable base) for stability, while also ensuring a Class B temperature rise. They are inverter duty rated with a 10:1 constant torque (CT) and 20:1 variable torque (VT) at 1.0 service factor, and use inverter grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. The exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system enhances durability, and the double drilled feet on frames 143T-404T allow for flexible mounting options. Additionally, models 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
