Worldwide Electric's Open Drip Proof (ODP) motors are specifically engineered for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general purpose applications where non-enclosed, cooler-running motors are preferred. These premium efficiency ODP motors are available in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125 HP, with operating speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM. They operate on 208-230/460 Volt, 60 Hz and 190/380 Volt, 50 Hz power supply. The motors feature an open drip proof enclosure, rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP, and cast iron frame for 60-100 HP, providing IP23 protection with a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications). They are designed with Class F insulation, a rigid base (56C-face with removable base), and a Class B temperature rise characteristic. These motors are inverter duty rated with a 10:1 CT and 20:1 VT (1.0 SF), and the inverter grade magnet wire exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. The drive endbells on 143T frame and larger are pre-drilled and tapped for easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings, while the exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system enhances durability. Additionally, the double drilled feet on motors from 143T-404T offer mounting flexibility, and those that are 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
