Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are meticulously engineered for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose applications requiring cooler-running, non-enclosed motors. These premium efficiency ODP motors range from 1/2 to 125 horsepower and operate at speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM, with voltage options of 208-230/460 Volt at 60 Hz and 190/380 Volt at 50 Hz. The motors have an open drip proof enclosure and feature a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP, ensuring durability and reliability. They provide IP23 protection, a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications), and are built with Class F insulation, designed with a rigid base (56C-face with removable base) and a Class B temperature rise. Inverter duty capability is included with a 10:1 CT / 20:1 VT rating (1.0 SF). The inverter grade magnet wire satisfies or exceeds NEMA MG-1 part 31 standards, and pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on frames 143T and higher allow for easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings without the need for machining. The double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system enhances reliability, while double drilled feet on frames 143T-404T offer mounting flexibility. The motors sized 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
