Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are specifically designed for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general purpose installations where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are essential. These premium efficiency ODP motors come in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125 and are available in 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM options, supporting voltages of 208-230/460 volts at 60 Hz and 190/380 volts at 50 Hz. Featuring an open drip proof enclosure, these motors utilize a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP. They offer IP23 protection, a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications), and Class F insulation with a Class B temperature rise. Designed for inverter duty with a 10:1 constant torque and 20:1 voltage torque at 1.0 SF, the motors utilize inverter grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 specifications. Additionally, they feature a rigid base (56C-face with removable base), pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frame and up for easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings without machining, an exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system, and double drilled feet for mounting flexibility on frames 143T-404T. The 254T and larger models are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
