Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are meticulously designed and engineered for use in HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose installations where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are preferred. Available in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125, these premium efficiency ODP motors feature speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM, with voltage options of 208-230/460 volts at 60 Hz and 190/380 volts at 50 Hz. The ODP enclosure provides IP23 protection, while the motors are constructed with rolled steel frames for 1/2-50 HP ratings and cast iron frames for 60-100 HP ratings. The specifications include a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications), Class F insulation, and a rigid base design (56C-face with removable base). Additionally, these motors support inverter duty with a 10:1 CT / 20:1 VT rating (1.0 SF) and utilize inverter-grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 part 31 standards. The double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system enhances durability, and pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frames and larger allow for the easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings without the need for machining. They also include double drilled feet for mounting flexibility (143T-404T), and models 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
