Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are specifically designed for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general purpose applications where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are beneficial. These premium efficiency ODP motors range from 1/2 to 125 horsepower and operate at speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM, with voltage options of 208-230/460 volts at 60 Hz and 190/380 volts at 50 Hz. They feature an open drip proof enclosure, a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP models and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP models, with an IP23 degree of protection and a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications). The motors include Class F insulation, a rigid base (56C-face with removable base), and are designed for premium efficiency with a Class B temperature rise. They meet inverter duty specifications with a 10:1 continuous torque and 20:1 variable torque at 1.0 service factor, and utilize inverter grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. Installation is straightforward due to pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frames and up for Inpro current diverter rings, eliminating the need for machining. The exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system enhances durability, while double drilled feet facilitate mounting flexibility for 143T-404T models, and 254T and larger motors are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
