Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are specifically designed for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose installations that require cooler-running, non-enclosed motors. These premium efficiency ODP motors come in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125 and operate at speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM. They are compatible with 208-230/460 volt, 60 Hz and 190/380 volt, 50 Hz electrical systems. Constructed with an open drip proof enclosure, the motors feature a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP models and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP models. With an IP23 degree of protection, they operate at a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications) and include Class F insulation. The motors offer a rigid base (56C-face with removable base), class B temperature rise, and inverter duty ratings of 10:1 CT and 20:1 VT (1.0 SF). The inverter grade magnet wire used meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. They also come with pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on the 143T frame and larger, allowing for easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings without machining. Additionally, the exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system enhances reliability, while the double drilled feet provide mounting flexibility for 143T-404T models. Motors that are 254T and larger are also suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
