The Globe Scientific GCM-R-24 Refrigerated Microcentrifuge enhances the reliable platform of the GCM-24 by incorporating refrigerated control for the preservation of temperature-sensitive samples. It is designed for a variety of applications, including molecular biology and chemistry, featuring an intuitive button and knob interface for easy programming. The unit includes a high-strength 24-place aluminum alloy rotor with a biosafety aerosol containment lid, both of which are fully autoclaved, and operates with a powerful yet quiet compressor that achieves rapid and precise temperature control. The GCM-R-24 is capable of cooling the rotor chamber and samples to 4°C within just seven (7) minutes of operation, even at maximum speed and capacity. Key features comprise pre-cooling for optimal sample protection, an audible alert function, a dual lid lock to maintain sample temperature post-centrifugation, an intermittent temperature control mode, and a CFC-free refrigerant with low carbon life rotor capacity.
