This model is built on the robust framework of the GCM-24, adding refrigerated control with an intuitive button and knob interface for quick programming. It features a high-strength 24-place aluminum alloy rotor with a biosafety aerosol containment lid, all of which are fully autoclavable. The powerful yet quiet compressor enables the GCM-R-24 to cool its rotor chamber and samples down to 4°C within just seven (7) minutes of operation, even at maximum speed and capacity. Key attributes include pre-cooling for optimal sample protection, an audible alert function, and a dual lid lock to maintain temperature post-centrifugation. The device also incorporates an intermittent temperature control mode, CFC-free refrigerant, and a low carbon footprint rotor capacity. Additional features include a speed/RCF switch, a quick spin function, and maintenance-free brushless DC motor operation. Safety measures are paramount, with a dual door safety interlock, over-temperature and excessive speed detection, and automatic internal diagnostics included.
