Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel for a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The kit includes upright frames and beams, each manufactured to exacting tolerances to ensure dependable service at their rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, complemented by a safety lock tab that prevents beam dislodging. Standard beam ends are constructed from extra heavy gauge steel, featuring a three-prong connection for positive beam-to-post alignment over an 8-1/2" length, ensuring uniform load distribution. Additional protection is provided by tabs extending along the face of the beam. A unique recessed safety key, made from heavy gauge steel, engages a slot in the post, capable of resisting upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. This safety key is integral to the beam assembly, can be easily engaged without tools, and is visible for safety checks. The step-down design of all beams facilitates the acceptance of accessories, with two step sizes available: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. The heavy-duty beam end connector further enhances stability and reliability.
