Benchmark's LC-8 series of laboratory centrifuges is uniquely designed to meet a wide range of applications in both clinical and research laboratories. The kit includes an eight position rotor that directly accepts 10ml and 15ml test-tubes (conical or round bottom), with optional adapters available for compatibility with all popular sizes of blood collection and culture tubes. The rotor's easy removal from the chamber allows for efficient cleaning, a feature not commonly found in compact centrifuges of this class. The device features a back-lit liquid crystal display that provides full control over the set run time and rotational speed, which can be set and viewed in RPM or RCF. Additionally, the advanced settings mode allows for easy adjustment of acceleration and deceleration levels. For safety, a digital microprocessor ensures the lid is closed and the safety lid lock is engaged before starting a centrifugation cycle. Furthermore, an advanced imbalance detection system continuously monitors balance and vibration, automatically stopping the rotor if an imbalance is detected.
