The Z216 Series microcentrifuges feature 10 rotor options with a capacity of up to 44 x 1.5/2.0 ml, providing powerful performance at 15,000 RPM and 21,631 xg. They are designed to efficiently cool from room temperature to 4°C in under 10 minutes and can accommodate a range of tube sizes from 0.2 ml to 5 ml, including common microtubes (0.2 ml, 0.5 ml, 1.5 ml, 2.0 ml), PCR strips, hematocrit tubes, and 5.0 ml centrifuge tubes. Advanced microprocessor controls facilitate the setting and display of rotational speed in either RPM or RCF, while the front panel allows for adjusting acceleration and deceleration rates, as well as changing the end of run alarm tone. The Z216 Series maintains a compact footprint and includes a uniquely designed 44 x 1.5 ml dual row rotor, which nearly doubles capacity compared to traditional microcentrifuges. Specifically, the Z216-MK model features a powerful compressor-driven cooling system that can maintain temperatures as low as -20°C, efficiently achieving 4°C from room temperature in less than 10 minutes.
