The Z496-K centrifuges feature ultra high capacity, accommodating 4 x 1000ml, 98 x 15ml, or 40 x 50ml samples, and accept 500ml or 750ml blood bags. Available in two models, the floor-standing version has a height of 38.6 inches and includes a storage drawer for frequently used rotors and accessories, while the underbench model stands at 27.5 inches for convenient under-counter storage. The centrifuges offer the highest tube and bottle capacity in their class, with several rotor options including a 4 position swinging bucket rotor, capable of accepting microplates or various tube inserts, allowing for the centrifugation of up to 40 x 50ml conical or 96 x 15ml conical tubes per run. Advanced microprocessor controls facilitate instant rotor identification, automatically adjusting the rotational speed to the appropriate g-force (RCF), and the system prevents speeds exceeding rotor specifications. Users can retrieve up to 99 saved programs and adjust accel/decel rates, time, and switch between RPM and RCF via the intuitive front panel. The powerful refrigeration system operates within a temperature range of -20° to 40° C and includes a precool function to optimize chamber temperature for diverse applications.
