The Triplett model GSM100 combustible gas detector identifies the presence of combustible gases such as methane, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, propane, ethylene, ethane, hexane, benzene, iso-butane, ethanol, acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, toluene, p-xylene, ammonia, and hydrogen sulfide, as well as common mixtures including natural gas, paint thinners, industrial solvents, dry cleaning fluids, and gasoline. It features a 16" (406mm) adjustable gooseneck probe with a replaceable heated sensor, tri-mode detection (visual, audible, and vibration alerts), and five red LEDs that indicate the threshold levels of measurement with two sensitivity settings (low and high). The device also includes an audible tick (85dB) and vibration alert rates that increase with stronger detected gas levels, auto zero calibration in fresh air, a hold button to freeze the measurement, and an auto power off function that can be disabled to conserve battery life. The kit includes a rechargeable Li-Po battery and AC charger, and it comes with a 1-year warranty.
