The WaterBug® Supervised Sensor ("W-S-S") is a supervised water sensor designed to monitor the presence of water and is an accessory for the EnviroAlert and EnviroAlert Professional devices as part of the Winland Critical Monitoring Solution. The sensor activates an alarm when a conductive bridge is formed between two contacts, and it will not alarm for high condensation. Key features include the ability to alarm if the wire is severed or water is detected, compatibility with EA200-12, EA200-24, EA400-12, EA400-24, EA800-IP, EA-WMFS, EAPRO-GTWY, or EAPRO-WMFT, a maximum sensor cable run of 1,000 feet (304.8 m) using 18-22 AWG twisted pair cable, and a cable length of 15 feet (4.6 m). The sensor features a stable surface mount design.
