The Winland™ buffer tube (TEMP-B-T) is a 40ml glass tube featuring a bonded septa (grommet) specifically designed for the secure containment of wired temperature sensors that utilize a buffering agent, such as Winland™ TEMP-G-B, to effectively monitor critical environments and minimize alarms as part of the Winland™ critical monitoring solution. This sensor accessory is compatible with models TEMP-L-W, TEMP-H-W, TEMP-L-S, TEMP-UL-S, and EAPRO®-ULS. It is recommended to use glycerin (TEMP-G-B) with the buffer tube, which has an operating range of -47.2 to +77.0°F (-44.0 to +25.0°C). For monitoring temperatures below freezing (32°F or 0°C), glycerin should be mixed with distilled water, adhering to a maximum low limit of -47.2°F (-44.0°C). The key features of this product include its ability to slow the sensor rate of change compared to fast-reacting air temperature readings, facilitate monitoring of temperatures above and below freezing, and help avoid nuisance alarms during cooler or freezer defrost cycles.
