The 58SB01/58SB1A 4-way multipoise gas furnaces, with an 80% AFUE rating, incorporate Carrier's Quietech™ noise reduction system, ensuring exceptionally quiet induced draft operation. Their design allows for versatile installation with 4-way multipoise capability and 13 different venting options, facilitating easy service access. These furnaces include an inner blower door for improved sealing in sensitive applications and are compatible with both natural and propane gas. The 58SB1A - Low NOx units are specifically designed for California installations and comply with the 40 NG/J NOx emissions requirement, allowing them to be installed in air quality management districts with the same standards. The performance features include a microprocessor-based control center with enhanced diagnostics provided by an LED and reflective sight glass, the ability to store fault codes during power outages, adjustable heating air temperature rise, adjustable cooling airflow, a power heat igniter, and a draft safeguard switch to ensure proper venting. The application versatility is highlighted with its compatibility with Hybrid Heat® dual fuel systems and chimney-friendly operation when paired with an accessory vent kit. The product is certified with cabinet air leakage ratings of less than 2.0% at 1.0 in.W.C. and less than 1.4% at 0.5 in.W.C., tested in accordance with ASHRAE Standard 193.
