The 59SC2D MultiPoise Comfort™ condensing gas furnace offers year-round electrical efficiency when paired with a compatible condensing unit, featuring up to 92.1% AFUE gas efficiency. It is equipped with a Basic Fixed-Speeds, Constant Torque (FCT) ECM blower motor that ensures electrically efficient operation in heating, cooling, and continuous fan modes, a single-speed inducer motor, and a single-stage gas valve. The furnace utilizes a Silicon Nitride PowerHeat™ hot surface igniter and provides adjustable blower speeds for both heating and cooling. Constructed with an aluminized-steel primary heat exchanger and a stainless-steel condensing secondary heat exchanger, it supports 4-way MultiPoise installation flexibility, allowing for upflow, downflow, or horizontal setups. The unit comes factory-configured for upflow applications and has an ideal cabinet height of 35" (889 mm), facilitating service and compatibility with taller coils. The 59SC2D can be vented through direct vent/two-pipe, ventilated combustion air, or single-pipe applications, and features a unique vent elbow offering 12 different venting options, including optional downflow venting through the cabinet. Low NOx versions meet California's stringent 40 ng/J NOx emissions standard and are suitable for installation in air quality management districts with similar requirements, with certifications for mobile/manufactured home use in Canada.
