The 59SC2D Multipoise Comfort™ condensing gas furnace offers impressive energy efficiency with up to 92.1% AFUE gas efficiency and features a fixed-speed, constant torque (FCT) ECM blower motor for electrically efficient operation throughout the year. It is designed for 4-way multipoise installation flexibility and is available in eight model sizes, accommodating upflow, downflow, or horizontal setups. This unit can be vented for direct vent/two-pipe, ventilated combustion air, or single-pipe applications. The low NOx variants are specifically crafted for California installations and comply with 40 ng/J NOx emissions standards, making them suitable for air quality management districts with similar requirements. The furnace features a single-speed inducer motor, a single-stage gas valve, a silicon nitride PowerHeat™ hot surface igniter, and an adjustable blower speed for both heating and cooling. Its construction includes an aluminized-steel primary heat exchanger and a stainless-steel condensing secondary heat exchanger. The cabinet measures an ideal height of 35 inches (889 mm), providing ample space for service while being short enough for taller coils. Additionally, the unit is design certified in Canada and approved for use in manufactured housing/mobile homes.
