The Protector Series chip shield is designed for milling or drilling machines and features an octagonal shape measuring 28" x 10". It includes a left mount, articulating design with double pivot and three arms, providing a 36" reach with an interlock and a 16" offset, without an enclosure. Constructed from 14-gauge powder-coated steel and 3/16" shock-proof, oil-resistant polycarbonate, this safety shield is highly durable and rigid, protecting operators from flying debris, lubricants, coolants, and swarf. All components have CE, UL, and CSA certifications and the shields come with a limited one-year warranty. Replacement polycarbonate shields are available for maintaining peak efficiency. The modular design allows customization of shield shape, size, mount, arm, offset, lighting, interlocking, and safety monitoring to meet challenging machine guarding needs. Various mounting options enhance versatility, allowing for reversal to accommodate opposite-hand mounting scenarios. Additionally, the shields are vertically and horizontally adjustable to accommodate different work setups and table heights.
